Coach Tanner Hostetter

(FIRE ALUMNI #28 - Class of 2015)

Coach Tanner is 27 years old and has been married to his wife, Rachel for two years.  Coach Tanner was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL, until he moved to Nashville, TN in the 9th grade. Coach Tanner started playing soccer on a rec team in Jacksonville at the young age of 3 1/2, and continued playing in the same league until he was 14 years old, all those years, his dad was the team's Asst. Coach. After his family moved to Nashville, Coach Tanner played on FIRE in 10th - 12th grade.  His two younger brothers (Tayden & Tucker)  followed in his footsteps,  both played on FIRE's Middle School team 4 years and the JV team.  Coach Tanner graduated high school in May 2015 and went on to attend Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA where he studied Student Ministries and played on Liberty's Intramural soccer team.  Coach Tanner graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Student Ministries in May 2019.  Coach Tanner is the Sales Team Manager at Nelson Mazda Cool Springs and serves as the Student Pastor of CANVAS Student Ministry at Cultivate Church of Nashville.  Coach Tanner is excited to return back to FIRE for a second season.  His desire is to help support, encourage and build up the next generation of FIRE players; spiritually and physically, on and off the field and help guide them into their full potential as high school soccer players and godly young men.

Coach Arlis Albritton

Coach Arlis is 51 years old.  He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Jana, for 28 years and he is the father of 3.  Coach and his family have been a part of the FIRE FAMILY for 5 years; his son Asher played on the Middle School team and is now on the JV team.   Coach Arlis is a songwriter and also owns and operates many songwriting festivals. Coach loves and has played soccer his entire life and still does!  He leaves his cleats in his car just in case a pickup game breaks out.  His path to coaching started with the Eagles Express U10 travel team.  He split his duties for this team with Trevecca Alumni Coach Terrance Tapiwa.  After a few years with that team, he became the Asst. Coach to Jeff Postell for the homeschool girls team, The Golden Eagles, for 5 years.  The Golden Eagles won the National Homeschool Soccer Championship.  In the 2018 season, The Golden Eagles shined with 21 wins-2 loses-5 ties.  Coach Arlis took over as the Head Coach for one more year after Coach Jeff retired, because it was one of his daughters' Senior year.  He looks forward to coaching again this season.

Coach Daniel Crandall

Coach Daniel is 50 years old and together with his wife Esther, is raising their family of five young people into adulthood through home education and teaching the skills of self-learning, passion, and a purpose founded on Christ. Their oldest son, Cyler, is a FIRE alumni and is an Asst. Coach this season, and their son, Lochlan, is in his 6th year playing on FIRE. He is excited to build up Middle TN FIRE Soccer for his last two boys coming up. They have been a FIRE family for 9 years! Coach Daniel helps creative leaders to realize their passions and accomplish their goals as the owner of 1Train1. He provides leadership consulting, creative strategy, and communication skills training-life skills that work on the filed as well in your business. His passion to help people if born out of Genesis chapters 1 & 2 where God demonstrates His creativity, calls His creation "good", then creates mankind. God says we are made in His image, created to be creators, just like Him! Coach Daniel has coached soccer since he was 22, starting with boys and girls high school soccer teams as a school athletics director and summer camp director in New England. Playing pickup games frequently, he discovered hos skills only improved as he learned situational awareness and team strategy. He acquired a passion for individual skills and muscle memory as the interim director of Happy Feet Nashville, encouraging constant footwork and touches-on-the-ball outside of practice. (He is known to recommend keeping a ball at your feet while doing your school work)

Coach Daniel's goals for the team this season are that the players learn to trust each other's unique strengths, encourage each other, and build a strong team mentality. Also, that each player develops self-discipline and confidence as they discover how to contribute to the team.

Training Coach Waz (David Wasiolek)

Coach Waz has played soccer for over 50 years. He played Division 1 soccer for East Carolina University as an outside back starting for 3 years. While at college he was a high school referee. Coach Waz was a Club Coach in New Jersey for 3 years when his son was young. He was the JV Boys Asst Coach and JV Girls Asst. Coach at Page High School for 9 yrs. ending Oct 2023. He left Paige as the "winningest" coach in Page's history, and the 1st coach to lead his team to an undefeated season in Page history, in any sport. While at Page he and Head Coach Clapp helped 24 guys and girls achieve their dream of signing scholarships to play soccer in college. Coach Waz was one of the founders as well as the CFO and board member of Nashville Football Club which played for 3 seasons in the MPSL. in 2017, the team sold to John Ingram and David Dill and became the Nashville Soccer Club. He is currently President of the Nashville Soccer Supporters Trust which was formed to support the growth of amateur soccer throughout Middle Tennessee. The Trust is largely funded by donations and the endowment created by the proceeds from the sale of the Nashville Football Club.
